Bright Roots Learning is a specialized reading support program designed for children who need a calm, structured, and emotionally supportive environment to grow academically and build confidence. Our mission is simple: To help children develop strong reading foundations while feeling understood, encouraged, and capable.
We serve students who:

Meet the Founder — Carol
Carol is the founder of Bright Roots Learning™ and a seasoned educator with a deep commitment to helping children reach their full potential in reading.
My background includes:
  • Former Special Education Teacher
  • Former Program Specialist for the Texas Education Agency
  • Experience at Region 10
  • Two Master's Degrees (Curriculum & Instruction + ESL)
  • Certified in early literacy intervention
  • Trained in Orton-Gillingham–informed reading instruction
  • Extensive experience supporting children with ADHD, learning differences, and reading delays
  • Trauma-informed teaching practices
  • Parent coaching background
Carol founded Bright Roots Learning to provide families with something traditional tutoring often lacks: a structured, nurturing, and research-based approach that honors the whole child — not just their reading level.

How the Program Works
